Ee Early Dismissal
- In case of inclement weather, we may have to dismiss early, have a delayed start, or close school. Please listen to your local news station to obtain this information.
- Look for early release dates, I will keep you informed.
- There will be No Snack on Early Release dates. Lunch schedules will change on Early Release dates.
Ff Field Trips
- We have a few field trips planned throughout the year. Watch for information. We will need volunteers to go with us. To go on field trips, you must be a registered cleared volunteer.
Gg Green/Good Choices
- We expect all children to follow school and classroom rules. I use a great deal of positive reinforcement and encouragement. I use two different behavioral methods for my classroom. I use Class Dojo as well as a student vs. teacher with points.
- You will be able to join Class Dojo and see your child's points and behavior.
Hh Homework
- Homework is reading every single night! At least 15 minutes per night.
Ii Independence
- Kindergarten is a year of growing independent! Please encourage independence.
Jj Juice and Snack
- Since we have a late lunch snack is very important. Please send your child’s snack with his/her name on it in their backpacks each day.
- Please put the snack in a separate bag or etc. from your child’s lunchbox otherwise kindergarteners may eat their snack at lunch time.
- Please send nutritious items, such as raw veggies, cheese & crackers, fruit, & yogurt.
Kk Kindergarten
- This is the most important year in your child’s education!
Ll Lunch
- Our lunch time is from 1:10-1:40.

- Please send all money in a sealed envelope marked with my name, your child’s name, the amount, and what the money is for. If it is lunch money, please put your child’s lunch number on the envelope as well.
Nn Newsletters and Notes
- Each month you will receive a classroom newsletter.
- Information will also be posted on website.

- Toys are to remain at home. These can become a distraction in our classroom and are often misplaced. Toys will only be allowed for special occasions (i.e., for “Show and Tell” and "Game Day").
Uu Unity
- I believe that parents, administrators, and teachers working together make one awesome team! I know we will all make a great team this year to make sure all of our children’s needs are met.
Vv Volunteers
- If you wish to volunteer, and we hope you do!!! Please register in the media center or let me know and I’ll make this possible. Thanks in advance for your help!!
Ww Work
- Much of our work consists of activities instead of paperwork. Some days your child will have very few papers to bring home and some days there will be several.
- It is very important that you check your child’s green folder daily! I will send all work and notes home in the folder so please check it so that you will be aware of things happening in our classroom. Talk to your child daily about his/her work and reinforce the concepts covered that day. Please return the empty folder to school each day. Do not send back anything unless it is homework, things requiring your signature, or a note to me. Please leave the behavior report in the folder.
